I wish to produce readable ascii (not ascii with overprinting) from my LaTeX documents, suitable for emailing and posting to the net. NB. I want this to be as readable as can be in ascii -- these are not rough drafts that I'm trying to print. I need to be able to do this for simple equations as well as fairly complex tables (implying that I need some conversion of rules into chunks of ----s). Dvidoc seems to be the way to go. However, dvidoc is not installed locally, we have no Pascal compiler, and some sort of defines file that web2c requires seems to be missing. Can anyone send me what I need to get dvidoc working? - either the missng defines file, or, preferably, the C output of web2c (which supposedly is portable)? Thanks in advance. Any advice on other means of producing good quality ascii from LaTeX would be appreciated. -- Andy Glew, a-glew@uiuc.edu [get ph nameserver from uxc.cso.uiuc.edu:net/qi]
