I need to make my paper into a 2 column format. Unfortunately, the figures and tables seems to be too big to fit into one column. What should I do? Is there a way to reduce the size of the table/figure by alot? Is it possible to fit the table/figure into 2 columns? Thanks. Andrew Lim

In two-column format, saying "\begin{figure*} ... \end{figure*}" produces
a figure which spans both columns. "\begin{table*}" works similarly.
