[net.space] ISEE-3 successfully completes Moon fly-by

rjnoe@ihlts.UUCP (Roger Noe) (12/23/83)

I read in the paper that ISEE-3 (now called what? International
Cometary Explorer??) completed its swing around the Moon yesterday.
It came within 70 miles of the Moon's surface. The satellite is
supposed to rendezvous with comet Giacobini-Zinner many months from
now. Orbital billiard games never cease to amaze me.
