Bitten by Amy Hendrickson's article on TeX macro writing techniques in the latest TUGboat (11.3), it occurred to me that it would be very useful to have something like a debug.sty for LaTeX (or similar for TeX) that would allow me to see the contents of all the `variables' at any given part of the document elaboration. It would also allow `breakpoints' to be set (and so on.) Does such a beast exist? I'm afraid I don't have a complete set of TUGboats to browse through, so I'm braving the net. If anyone can point me at Beebe's set of bibtex'ed TUGboat listings i'd be grateful too.
