[comp.text.tex] New LaTeX?

craig@fractal.eng.buffalo.edu (Craig Steinberger) (09/26/90)

I know that TeX was recently updated to 3.0, but is there a new version
of LaTeX also? If so, is there an updated version of the LaTeX book
also?

new distributions of TeX should now contain a slightly changed
lplain.tex. no other changes are necessary for it to work with 3.0

There *is* a new LaTeX on the way, but thats entirely separate from the
TeX 3.0 changes.
