[comp.text.tex] DVI to Postscript for the PC

elee24@castle.ed.ac.uk (H Bruce) (09/28/90)

I am moving my LaTeX work to a PC as I have better access to it than the
Sun workstation I was using.

Everything has gone OK so far (I'm using EmTeX) but I can't find a "dvips"
type program for the PC. They all appear to be written for UNIX and won't
port to a PC.

Can anyone tell me where to find dvips for the PC ?

Thanks,

Henry Bruce.

both James Clark's dvitops and Tom Rokicki's dvips can be compiled
under MSDOS if you have a C compiler. dvitops has support built in,
dvips has the msdos hacks provided by someone else. they are excellent
programs, and will do all you want. UK readers can FTP them from the
Aston TeX Archive, USA users will find dvips at labrea.stanford.edu
and dvitops at june.cs.washington.edu
