[comp.text.tex] Crop marks in LaTeX

magus@cup.portal.com (Magus - Company) (10/03/90)

I need a macro to put crop marks on pages in LaTeX documents,
so as to indicate cut sheet boundaries. In other words, the LaTeX
output is originally printed on 8.5 x 11 inch paper, but the cut sheet
size for the final printed document will be smaller (say 7 x 8.5 inches).
(The cut sheet size is determined by \textwidth, \textheight,
left margins, header and footer height, etc.)
The crop marks appear outside of the cut sheet area, and indicate
the edges of the cut sheet. The crop marks consist of short
horizontal and vertical lines near the cut sheet boundaries, and
should appear on all pages (including new Chapter pages).

I haven't the faintest idea of how to do this. Can anyone tell me?

cropmark.sty is available from ymir.claremont.edu

FTP users should get it from [anonymous.tex.inputs.latex-contrib]

Those without FTP access can send the command

send [tex.inputs.latex-contrib]cropmark.sty

to mailserv@ymir.claremont.edu
