I have been trying to get MuTeX (music typesetting for TeX) running, but
have run into problems. Any help would be appreciated, but specifically I need
a printer description for PostScript to give to mf, and any help at all on
using mf. Thanx.

Define a new macro omitting \thinvrule: \def\nobar{\gluebrule\gluearule} This gives Mutex a chance for a line-break, which is normally done only when \| is encountered. I used this solution for a piece which had no bars at all. Anybody has a better solution? Hope this helps. does mutex allow you to typeset sheet music (i.e. the output will look EXACTLY like the sheet music the musicians play from)? albert
