[comp.text.tex] Bug in DECUS TeX DVILN03 driver?

wallis@wsuiar.uucp (11/17/90)

        Dear DECUS TeX People:

I have just installed the latest version of DECUS TeX. Everything
I have tried works fine except for DVILN03, which fails with an error message
saying:

Error: character NN invalid in font

where NN is one of several numbers. A sample run is shown below. Note that as
far as LATEX is concerned, I have a valid file, and it produces a DVI file.
Do I have something misconfigured, or is there a bug here?

                Thanks in advance,

                Tom Wallis
