[comp.text.tex] DVItoVDU

ccsupeh@prism.gatech.EDU (Eric Hoffman) (04/06/90)

Where could I find 'dvi2vdu' sources either in C or Pascal?
All I've been able to find on stanford, washington and clarkson
ftp sites where the modula-2 sources...and I don't have such a
compiler

Thanks,

Eric

Nor does anyone normal! :-) This was just posted very recently - the
Aston TeX Group in the UK says that they have both the Pascal and Modula-2
source, in the directory [tex-archive.drivers.dvitovdu.vms]
                                                      .unix]
with an Internet address of vaxa.aston.ac.uk. Unfortunately, our machine
doesn't recognize that address, so I haven't been able to check it out.

Hello, I obtained the program DVItoVDU couple of days ago
and I am having trouble running it on a micro-term terminal
that emulates vt200/vt100. Note vt200 supports ReGis.
Did anybody tried to run "dv" on a micro-term (ergo 340).
If yes please let me know what did you do to get it to work..

I my case every time I type

	dv -v vt100 filename
	or
	dv -v vt220 filename
	or
	dv -v regis filename

	I get the error message:

Unexpected DVI command in postamble = 0

	Thanks for the help

	abed

We can't even get it to compile on a VAX 8650/6450 under VMS 5.3. Anybody
get it to work on VMS? Suggestions (other than getting Unix)?
