[comp.text.tex] How do I get my ADDRESS at the TOP the LETTER

fw@itk.unit.no (Fredrik Wilhelmsen) (11/20/90)

When I use the *letter* document format, the whole letter gets
centered on the page. I would like to have my address at the top of
the page, regardless of the length of the letter.

I have used \topmargin -Ncm, but the N has to be adjusted for each
letter I write.

This is probably an easy question for some of you gurus out there.

I don't know the answer to that one, but on a similar track, does anyone
know how to make the signature part always left justified. Usually, this
part is centre justified unless there is no (my) address (eg - when using
headed paper) when it is left justified. I want left justified signatures
even if I do specify my address at the top.

Any help to this and the original posters question gratefully accepted.

Thanks,
Gary
