Hmmm. Sorry to be jumping on bandwagons right here, but I've recently been hearing a lot about SGML (The Standard Generalized Mark-up Language). Apparently this new standard allows style independent description of documents, which can then be marked up by any typesetting package. Is there any possibility that TeX implementations to deal with SGML documents will be forthcoming? ...John

I know of one SGML to LaTeX interface, and that comes with $^mu$^TeX{} by ArborText. They include one program with their product that does that interfacing and it even comes with documentation, but for reasonable SGML editing you should use an editor that helps you with SGML (or so I was told once). Anyway, I do not know how complete that program is, what features it does (not) support and so on . . . it's just that I've found that program on our evaluation copy. Hope this helps. //konrad +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ As I'm not working for anybody, I can't be representing their opinion!
