[comp.text.tex] Ordering `plain' citations in LaTeX: help

Is LaTeX capable of ordering multiple citations of a \cite command?
Currently, \cite{k1,k2,k3} results in [l, m, n] in the output, where l
m and n are integers (plain bib. style). I want to impose an ordering
(typically <) on these integers. (I think this is a LaTeX question
rather that a BIBTeX one as I guess the \cite command needs to be
fiddled with. I appreciate that other bib. styles may not produce
integer citations...)

Any help would be useful. Cheers.
