I am new to this group so please forgive if this is one of the frequent stupid questions (though I did check the frequent questions file and clarkson archive with no success) The journals I write for use apa style (not my fault). Well they almost use apastyle in that they allow citations like As Smith (1923) has shown apalike.sty forces you to get As Smith (Smith,1929) has shown Now cslibib is pretty close, but it doesn't put a period after the journal and you can't (I don't think) get cites like According to Smith (1947:32-33) So if anyone out there knows of a .sty and .bst file that does these things, I would love to hear about them The journals are American Political Science Review and other PS journals - I think that American Economic Review uses same style Thanks in advance Neal Beck Dept of Politcal Science, UCSD beck@ucsd.edu Dislaimer: The Regents pay me (a bit!) to distribute my opinions.
