First, thanks to everyone who replied to my question about using Quattro Pro graphs in LaTeX. Several people mentioned using the PSFIG macro package to include these or other Postscript figures. I obtained this package, but I'm having a few problems getting it to work. The system (VAX/VMS) here uses a DVI to Postscript converter called PSDVI, part of a package called PSPRINT. Here's the start of the result of trying to use it on the DVI file produced from the PSFIG manual (the same occurred if I allowed the default reversed page option): [PROMPT]psdvi figdoc.dvi /noreverse Creating OUT.PS 1/[1] Couldn't open \special file: ps::[end] endTexFig Couldn't open \special file: ps: plotfile [.figs]cm.ps Couldn't open \special file: ps::[begin] 524288 524288 1807025 1807025 11348669 11348669 startTexFig Couldn't open \special file: ps::[end] endTexFig Clearly, there's some inconsistency in what gets passed somewhere, but I don't know enough about either DVI files or Postscript to know what. I checked the Frequently Asked Questions file, but it didn't seem to help. Has anyone 1) Adapted PSFIG to work with PSDVI, and would be willing to share their fix with me, or 2) Got a different DVI to PS converter plus PSFIG combination that works under VMS that they'd be prepared to share with me. I'd be extremely grateful for any help. I think this will save me (and the other students here, once I've worked out what to do and can share it with them) a huge amount of time.
