Are there any dvi previewers for MS-DOS that use super VGA? In particular, I have an ATI VGA Wonder, but I'd like to know about any super VGA support. -- Michael Pereckas * InterNet: m-pereckas@uiuc.edu * just another student... The problem is that there is no standard for cards above 480x640. Or rather there is but I can't get ahold of it. It is called VESA. Does ANYBODY know about this? Doug McDonald

I just remembered that fractint supports VESA. I looked in the code and tried sommething that worked. It may or may not work on your card. If you need a dvi previewer for your VESA compatible card please try the alpha-test version on c.scs.uiuc.edu. It is called dvivesaalpha.exe. It may not work. Please return reports to me if you try it. It works on my Video7 card. This is simply a 600x800 version of dvivga. Doug McDonald (mcdonald@aries.scs.uiuc.edu)

I've had emTeX's dviscr recomended. I gave it a try and it workes great. It is a very feature-filled program. It supports GENOA superEGA, Paradise, Video Seven, Tseng Labs superVGA, a few otehr random super-something modes, and it also allow you to enter the resolution of your super mode, and the values to put in AX and BX to get into it from a INT 10h call. This workes for ATI. -- Michael Pereckas * InterNet: m-pereckas@uiuc.edu * just another student... (CI$: 72311,3246) Jargon Dept.: Decoupled Architecture---sounds like the aftermath of a tornado
