I often get a capacity error in Latex, telling me that I have run out of pool space. Then I am told that wizards can tell me how to increase this space. But the TeXbook only tells me that wizards exist, not how to be one. So can some kind wizard tell me how to increase the pool space. (I know that Lamport says that capacity errors are almost always user induced, but in this case I think not, since if I kill a memory resident calendar program the capacity error disappears) If relevant I am using Arbortext;s LaTeX (2.09). I also have 4M Ram on a 386 (half ram disk, half here being wasted) - is there anyway to tell latex to use extended memory or to make better use of my ramdisk than for some tmp files Thanks (as always) in advance -- Neal Beck Dept of Politcal Science, UCSD beck@ucsd.edu Dislaimer: The Regents pay me (a bit!) to distribute my opinions.
