[comp.text.tex] French hyphen table: unknown commands \accenthyphencode and \spechyphcode

I got a french hyphenation table from Olivier Plaut, but I can not compile 
it with initex:

	! Undefined control sequence.
	l.5 \accenthyphcodes
        	            \spechyphcodes % changes the \' ... etc

	! Undefined control sequence.
	l.5 \spechyphcodes
        	           % changes the \' ... etc

Can anybody please help me?
