I'm trying to convince the local ACS to support TeX and its offspring (LaTeX, muTeX, etc), and am wondering what other packages exist. If you know of any, please respond with the name, use, and source if possible. If there is interest, I'll sumerize to the list. EG: LaTeX: Primarily for Math. papers, etc: Avail with emTeX at terminator.cc.umich.edu in (I don't recall the path offhand..) Thanks ------- +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ eric schweitzer In theory, there is no difference ershc@cunyvm.cuny.edu between theory and practice, @cunyvm.bitnet But in practice there is. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Eric, make sure you mention AMSTeX, the dialect of TeX developed by the A,erican math society. It's supposed to be merged with LaTeX eventually, and the latest version is pretty close to LaTeX, but there exist differences... the best way to get it is from AMS for $40. (You can also FTP it, but you want to support AMS, don't you? :) Dimitri Dimitri Vulis BITNET: DLV@CUNYVMS1 Internet: DLV@CUNYVMS1.GC.CUNY.EDU Snail mail: Department of Mathematics/Box 330 City Univesrity of New York Graduate Center 33 W 42 St
