I'm perplexed. I used to use the dvipage that came with the TeX 2.95 distribution. This old version could read GF fonts, but not PK fonts. It worked fine. I recently built TeX 3.0 for my sun3, and also built the new dvipage that came with it (I would use dvipage version numbers if I could figure out what they were). It still works fine with GF fonts. I tried using it with PK fonts, but it drops about 10% of the characters on each line, in no particular pattern. The character loss seems to be worst when I come to a page while advancing forward through the document. If I move backwards to a page, it often is displayed correctly. If I re-open the dvi file, the page gets re-drawn incorrectly (i.e., characters are dropped). I am running SunOS 3.5, and the monitor is monochrome. I'm using 118 DPI resolution fonts. Has anyone experienced this problem? Can anyone clue me in to what I might be doing wrong? Thanks ~!paul -- Paul Ziemba api!gpz gpz@ESD.3com.com 408.764.5390 OS/2: just say no.
