In article <75218@unix.cis.pitt.edu>, nystrom@a.psc.edu (Nick Nystrom) writes of dvips: >>So my real question is: where are the fonts so generated stored? On my system, mf writes 'em to $TEXLIB/fonts/pk. The "something's wrong with METAFONT" message appears (on my system, anyway) when MF does not find a .mf file for a particular font it's asked to build (in the arguments from MakeTeXPK). Because mf fails, the font is not created, so when I dvips my file again, the same thing happens. That is the extent of my not-so-expert knowledge; Texperts; please correct- clarify-augment. Another Question: Adobe fonts and mf I can define the Adobe fonts I want to use in TeX just fine. However, when I dvips the result, I run into the brick wall that I (and Nick Nystrom, also) describe above. If my response to Nick is correct, it seems as though I need some .mf files for Adobe fonts. Where can these be obtained? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks much.
