[comp.text.tex] Windows previewer aware of fonts?

Is anyone working on a TeX previewer for Windows 3 that has some idea
that the environment might supply the fonts, rather than the driver
supplying bitmaps? It would work like the PS drivers which have a list
of builtin fonts. Now that we have ATM for Windows, it seems silly to
go on hurling bitmaps of CMR at the screen when a sophisticated
rasterizing program is lurking in the background to do the work for us.
