OK What printer drivers allow \special to include pictures for a HP laserjet II . I wrote a crude filter for hpgl to gem (.img) and used gemtopbm and then pbmtopk. This allowed me to include small pictures in the text (one inch by one inch) any bigger and dvijep (MS-DOS) barfed. (stack overflow...could someone compile a bigger stack for me...thanks) I haven't yet tried splitting the picture up into one inch square bits, this might work but it seems a wee bittie messy (any hints?). I have a program at home for dvitodeskjet (Atari ST) which allows .img pictures to be included as specials. Are the deskjet and laser jet compatible so that if the worst came to the worst I could use this? Sorry about the rambling I'll summerise any response Thanks Robin Smith elev35@uk.ac.ed.castle
