Boy, freeware isn't that. I've been working for a couple of weeks getting all the pieces of emTeX from terminator.cc.umich.edu and when I finally managed to get all six disks of zip files (I have to use bitftp@pucc.princeton.edu because I don't have ftp capability) the unzip program (pkz102) didn't unzip itself. I discovered that my system came with pkunzip, so I tried that with no success. The error message said something about the zip files not being valid (yes, I first uudecoded the files). I also wrote a letter to John Radel in Reston, VA who supposedly has a catalog of freeware that he will distribute for a copying fee. That's been some three weeks age and still no response. I like LaTeX on my Amiga, and want to use it on my new 386 machine. I am willing to pay the copying fee. I am frustrated at the lack of success I'm having. This is supposed to be elementary stuff (In other words, I'm not supposed to bother the net with this kind of problem). Maybe if I flood the net someone will take pity sakes on me and assist me in my lifelong goal of installing emTeX on my 386. :-) -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- G.
