[comp.text.tex] Latest TeX distributions

junikka@rt5.cs.wisc.edu (Jari Junikka) (01/30/91)

Does anyone know when TeX3.1 (or whatever is the latest version)
is available in unix distribution? Anyone working on it?
The unix distribution in labrae.stanford.edu is 3.0.
What is the difference between the unix distribution and
the one in tex directory in labrae (i.e. what's the difference
between the generic and unix distribution)?

Thanks,

Jari

The diffs between TeX 3.0 and 3.1 (and changes done to the other
programs at the same time) are in the file DIFFS.Sept90 on labrea.

BTW, what does labrea mean? Or is it LaBrea (and who or what is
that)?
