[comp.text.tex] TeX on IBM's AIX

teexbal@ioe.lon.ac.uk (BRIAN ALSTON) (02/01/91)

Two requests:

Some time ago somebody somewhere posted some info on changes needed to get TeX
running on IBM RS6000's with AIX V3.1. Could that kind person (or someone else)
please either re-post or email me the details. Thanks.

Also has anyone got TeX working on IBM PS/2's with AIX V1.2?

TeX compiled pretty much ``out of the box'' under AIX V3.1, using 'cc'
with optimization; I believe the only modifications were removing redundant
declarations of malloc() from the C code.
