I'll try again. You might try giving the program DVI2LN3 a try. If the LN05 is like the LN03 series of printers, it should work. The current version (which is, I believe, 13.2) works on all models of LN03 (LN03, LN03+, LN03R) and may work on the LN05 as well. It reads both PXL and PK files and works like a DCL verb. This program is distributed on a DECUS tape, but the version there is slightly out of date (there was a minor bug fix to make it work properly on the LN03R). If you want the source code, I can provide that (it's in C). The output of the program is a sixel file which can then just be printed to the proper queue. Support for two different formats of sixelized plot inclusion is also part of the program. By the way, one reason I suspect that it will work on the LN05 just as well as the LN03 printers is that it works just fine on DECserver 20s, too. If I get too many requests to provide the source code, I'll have to come up with a better way to distribute it (placing the updated source on the DECUS tapes come to mind), but for now I'll offer to send the source to anyone who requests it. I've distributed it as shareware over the course of the last four(?) years, so pay me (for my modifications only, of course) if you feels it's worth something. It might give me incentive to make more modifications/improvements. By the way, the original part of the code was written by Flavio Rose of DEC in Mainard, Mass. All subsequent modifications have been made by me. ______________________________________________________________________________ Ed Bell | E-mail: ST Systems Corporation | Internet - Bell@NSSDCA.GSFC.NASA.GOV National Space Science | Bitnet - Bell@NSSDCA Data Center | SPAN - NCF::Bell or NASA | NSSDCA::Bell or Goddard Space Flight Center | NSSDCB::Bell or Greenbelt, MD 20771 | NSSDC::Bell (301)286-9627 | ______________________________________________________________________________ P.S.
