[comp.text.tex] Splitting up Newsgroup

damrau@avonus.ssc.gov (Jackie Damrau) (02/08/91)

I would like to add my two cents. I like seeing all the solutions for
both TeX and LaTeX as our site uses both. It also helps to see both
types of solutions to give you food for thought in creating your own
macros.

On one of my other newsgroups, we have a guideline of having the first
word of our Subject line being the initials of a particular thing.
That way those of us who are not interested in reading about that thing
can place that in our KILL file with :/j after it so that those things
are stripped before we even begin reading the newsgroup. I would be in
favor of setting some type of guideline like this, but not in splitting
the group.
