I have PCTeX 386, N. Beebee's Dvijep, Cowan's table macros, and an HP laserjet II. Can anyone tell me how to print a table (or any text for that matter) in landscape mode? I would appreciate it if you would e-mail me at jpl1@ra.msstate.edu thanks -- John Patrick Lestrade, PhD Department of Physics and Astronomy Mississippi State University, MS 39762 Voice: (601) 325-2806 Fax: (601) 325-8898

1) Use emTeX instead of PCTeX. emTeX's prthplj has options /tr1 to
rotate ouput.
2) Se the laser printer memu ``mode=landscape''.

You don't need to use emTeX to use the emTeX drivers. Since tex386 from PTI is faster than tex286 from em (and has double the memory), there is no compelling reason to switch (I have both on my hard disk and the only time that I use em's TeX is when I'm working under tight memory conditions). The fault, dear Xiaofei, lies not in the TeX but in the device driver. > 2) Se the laser printer memu ``mode=landscape''. No good, the Beebe DVI drivers have 8.5 x 11 portrait hard-wired into them. And they do there own clipping. Urp. -dh
