Well, hope not to incite anything further, but I did want to point out one more option for spacing other than single-spacing under LaTeX via a style file. A file was submitted to TeXhax last year by Erica Harris, named SETSPACE.STY, which allows toggles between single space, double space and one and one-half space. It was built as an improvement on doublespace.sty. The real beauty of this style is that it looks at the default point size to determine which \baselinestretch should be used for appropriate vertical spacing (so the issue of \baselinestretch{2} is avoided entirely for double spacing unless it is indeed the proper double space for the font size -- interestingly, it never is). The file is available at FILESERV@SHSU.BITNET as STY.SETSPACE. To retrieve it, send MAIL to FILESERV@SHSU.BITNET with the command: SENDME STY.SETSPACE in the body of the message. That should take it from there (remember to extract and save the file as SETSPACE.STY). Also, I will soon have a relatively complete back set of TeXhax (beginning with 1987) available on FILESERV. I am extracting all styles submitted since 1987 and placing on FILESERV, so they will be there for your use and convenience. Will post to INFO-TeX once I am through stripping mail headers from all of them. To all, thanks for your interest in INFO-TeX. Let me know if there is anything else we can do to help you.
