[comp.text.tex] "Outline" Fonts?

frank@csri.toronto.edu (Frank Kschischang) (02/19/91)

Does anybody know where I might find TeX fonts in which capital
letters are in "outline" form? E.g., a capital B would appear
as follows:
             ____
            | __ \ (Sorry about the crude ASCII line drawing,
            ||__|| but the "B" would appear as a solid white
            | __ < letter, surrounded by a black outline.)
            ||__||
            |____/

Note that AMS \Bbb "Blackboard bold" fonts won't do the trick.
Any information would be appreciated.

ymir.claremont.edu : [anonymous.tex.mf.cm.outline]

These files were developed by Doug Henderson and an article on
them appears in TUGboat 10#1. I believe that this version
includes some minor fixes that I made when he originally sent me
the files (for write-white printers and printing source with
MFT).

            mailserv@ymir.claremont.edu with a | 714-625-0147
            line saying send [DIRECTORY]FILENAME
where DIRECTORY is the FTP directory (sans "anonymous") and
FILENAME is the filename, e.g. "send [tex]00readme.txt". There is
a list of files in each directory under the name 00files.txt
Binary files are not available by this technique.
