I apolegize if this subject has been discussed before; I'm not a regular reader of this group. Actually, I've never used TeX but I'm trying to help out a Math Professor of mine. He has a program that he wrote on the Mac. He uses Capture to do a screen dump and then inserts the graphic into the TeX program on the Mac. That part works fine. Now he needs to transfer the graphics to TeX on a unix machine. Can this be done? I don't know how to insert a graphic into TeX but I'm guessing that if I save the Mac screen dump as a postscript file then it can be inserted into the TeX file as a special include command? The Mac screen dump from Capture is a bit map with color info. I think it should be fairly simple to convert this QuickDraw bitmap into a PostScript bitmap or a tiff bitmap. Anyways, I need to start at the very beginning and any help would be greatly appreciated. Please e-mail me at jchoi@ics.uci.edu. Thanks - John Choi
