bed_gdg@SHSU.BITNET ("George D. Greenwade") (02/23/91)
Late on a Friday and nothing better to do than bother you once again 8-). I have finally finished the stripping of headers on part of our collection of TeXhax Digests and UKTeX's. Ultimately, we will have all issues in place; for now, a limitation on time (and disk space) precludes that we have all available. We have more interesting things to put on the existing (but soon to be enhanced) allocation of FILESERV's disk space (not that these are uninteresting -- they're crammed with good information!). Below are the description files for each. Regards and hope you have (or had) a good weekend! George ============================================================================== TeXhax ------ The package TeXhax includes back issues of TeXhax Digest. A complete archive of this electronic digest, since its inception in 1985, will ultimately reside in this package and be updated as TeXhax Digests are received locally. Presently, issues for all of 1989, 1990 and 1991 are included. The filename syntax for TeXhax is TeXhax.yy-nnn, where "yy" is the year and "nnn" is the number of the issue within that year. Thus, the file TeXhax.91-004 is number 004 from the year 1991. To retrieve this file, please MAIL the command: SENDME TeXhax.91-004 in the body of a message to FILESERV@SHSU.BITNET. FILESERV will handle multiple commands in a single message, so long as each command resides on a unique line of the message. We request that you do **NOT** use the command SENDME TeXhax as this will send you the complete archives. If you should require the complete archives, please notify the INFO-TeX list manager (ITeX-Mgr@SHSU.BITNET) and alternate arrangements will be made for this transfer. Files currently available in this archive: ------------------------------------------ TeXhax.89-001 through TeXhax.89-116 (inclusive) TeXhax.90-001 through TeXhax.90-076 (inclusive) TeXhax.91-001 through TeXhax.91-007 (inclusive) Please note that virtually none of the issues of TeXhax Digest are under the 33 block limit for immediate transmittal during peak hours (1000-1700 CST/CDT, Monday-Friday). Therefore, most of the deliveries from this package will be during non-peak hours. ============================================================================== UKTeX ----- The package UKTeX includes back issues of UKTeX, the electronic periodical produced by the UK TeX User's Group. A complete archive of this electronic digest, since its inception, will ultimately reside in this package and be updated as issues of UKTeX are received locally. Presently, issues for 1990 and 1991 are included. The filename syntax for UKTeX is UKTeX.yy-nn, where "yy" is the year and "nn" is the number of the issue within that year. Thus, the file UKTeX.91-04 is number 04 from the year 1991. To retrieve this file, please MAIL the command: SENDME UKTeX.91-04 in the body of a message to FILESERV@SHSU.BITNET. FILESERV will handle multiple commands in a single message, so long as each command resides on a unique line of the message. We request that you do **NOT** use the command SENDME UKTeX as this will send you the complete archives. If you should require the complete archives, please notify the INFO-TeX list manager (ITeX-Mgr@SHSU.BITNET) and alternate arrangements will be made for this transfer. Files currently available in this archive: ------------------------------------------ UKTeX.90-01 through UKTeX.90-45 (numbers 04, 29 missing) UKTeX.91-01 through UKTeX.91-07 (inclusive) Please note that virtually none of the issues of UKTeX are under the 33 block limit for immediate transmittal during peak hours (1000-1700 CST/CDT, Monday-Friday). Therefore, most of the deliveries from this package will be during non-peak hours. ==============================================================================
