bed_gdg@SHSU.BITNET ("George D. Greenwade") (02/26/91)
Just a quick note to inform everyone that INFO-TeX is now configured to mail
out its messages so that the Reply-to: address should now read
INFO-TeX@SHSU.BITNET. This is a result of a few complaints among those who
get this on comp.text.tex as well as being subscribed (and another important
subscriber who shall remain anonymous). I bothered Matt Madison, the very
kind, highly patient, and extraordinarily competent author of our mailer
software and he made the modifications necessary to accomplish this.
The two reprecussions of this change are (at least as far as I can tell):
1. Mail from INFO-TeX should now be easily identifiable as being from
INFO-TeX on the From: line very early on in the message (or the
Reply-to: line, depending on your mailer).
2. Replies to messages should automatically be returned to the list instead
of the original sender -- this is different than in past routine messages
and is different than in the information you were provided with on
subscribing.
Regards and hope this helps! George

What is INFO-TeX? Is it a mailing list that mirrors comp.text.tex?

Eventually it is intended to. For now the link is one-way from INFO-TeX to
comp.text.tex.
