Hello, I am attempting to use TeX with an HP Laserjet II printer. We do most of our TeXing on Apple LaserWriters but I have the HP in my office so I'd prefer to use it. The dvips driver we have for the Apples (version 5.47 from labrea.stanford.edu) has the feature that it will automatically use metafont to generate new pk files as needed to print a document. Is there an HP filter out there that does the same thing? Barring that can someone tell me how I can use the output of the beebe filter to figure out what incantation to feed metafont? While I'm asking here are two other improvements I'd like to find: 1. A dvi filter suitable for use as a filter for lpr -d on UNIX. 2. The beebe driver puts the pages in reverse order (last page first). I'd *really* like a filter that puts the pages in first-page-first order. I'm interested in free and cheap commercial software (since this printer is in my office and the ps printers work fine I can't justify much money). Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
