sorry i don't know how to install new fonts for use with the emtex
hplj driver, but i do think you want to know that the fonts msxm and
msym are obsolete. they have been superseded by the fonts msam and
msbm in the amsfonts package of the american mathematical society.
this font package, and other tex adjuncts including ams-tex and
ams-latex, are available on a number of archives, among them
e-math.ams.com, labrea.stanford.edu, and ymir.claremont.edu, as well
as on diskette from the ams.
