I am new to TeX and using sbtex 2.93 on a PCompatible. I've two problems and
would appreciate if anyone could help me. Please post to the news or better
if possible e-mail me directly at M.A.Rahin@uk.ac.lut (from within UK) or
M.A.Rahin@lut.ac.uk (from outside UK).

1. I am looking for a decent DVI driver for the HP LJ II printer. I've used
DVIJEP (V. 2.10) and DVIHPLJ (from ymir.claremont.edu) but not very happy with
the result. The characters came out too thick and not well formed especially
for scaled fonts(cmr10 scaled \magstep 1). I've earlier used the same fonts
on a QMS-80 (or 8) postscript printer using dvips547 and the resulting output
is much nicer and characters are thinner and well formed. Why is this?

2. I want to typeset my whole document in 12 font. I can easily do this for
normal, italic, slanted or boldfaced characters. But, how can I do this for
math charcters? I've tried some simple methods and at last gave up. At the
moment I'm using cmr10 fonts throughout and magnify the whole document to
\magstep 1. Can anyone help ? [P.S. I am using plain format and don't have
time to learn LaTeX].
