Dear TeXperts,
I have two questions:
1) How to print something as it is, like computer program?
Eplain [by karl] has this solution adapted from from Knuth's book 382.
Basically it uses something like
\listing#1{\begingroup \obey*** \input #1 \endgroup}
The trick here is that \input #1 is not affected by \obey***.
However to use this solution one has to use a separate file. What I need
is something like
\listing{something to be printed as it is like a computer program}
However one can not simply modify above definition by changing
\input #1 to #1. So in short, a Plain TeX solution is wanted.
2. I posted before, the problem of ``long equation and multiple column
problem has been solved by the following authors''. I would appreciate
a copy of code if some one has it on line.

a Multiple-Column Format\\727-742<
