Please don't flame me for posting the umpteenth article on this subject but I have exhausted all my resources here and need help. I am trying to include a postscript figure in a paper I am writing for a seminar. The original picture is a sun rasterfile. I perform an xwd (x window dump) on the figure, and use xwd2ps to create the postscript file. It is encapsulated postscript. I am using the psfig macros recommended in FAQ. I have yet to be able to print even the simplest document, viz \begin{document} \section{Pitcutre} \par \psfig{figure=standard.eps,height=4in} \par \end{document} with some simple text around the \par nesting. Even worse, I can not even print the documentation that came with the macro package. I am running off a Vax, using dvips to convert the .dvi file. The LaTeX step executes (as well as the dvips) flawlessly. The crunch: When I try to print, printing aborts before even one page has been printed with the 'error encountered during PostScript processing' message and the operand stack (always 6, seven digit numbers), and then the line: %%[Error:undefined;Offending Command: startTexFig]%% Any help out there? I would at least like to be able to print the documentation! Thanks in advance... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 4th year Applied Math/Computer Science | University of Western Ontario | "Put a cute quote here" London, Canada | -anonymous semple@uwovax.uwo.ca | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
