[comp.text.tex] Summary of symbol{} question

vanwyk@author.ecn.purdue.edu (Kenric D VanWyk) (03/28/91)

Thanks for your help on my question to get a degree symbol for
temperature. Several of you came up with the correct answer for
this specific question. The correct answer is (why didn't I think
of this?): 50^{\circ}F to represent 50 degrees F.

Also, special thanks to the general question of finding symbols to:
	Malcolm Sanders
	Applied Physics
	Yale University
	sanders@venus.ycc.yale.edu
who pointed me in the correct direction with the testfonts program which
should be in the tex directory

All that is necessary is to
	tex testfonts
you will be prompted for a font name (e.g. cmsy10)
	\table
	\bye
and you now have a testfonts.dvi file of your particular font for
previewing/printing.
