[comp.text.tex] Scandia TeX?

mark@intek01.uucp (Mark McWiggins) (04/01/91)

The latest Computer Shopper has a review of Scandia TeX, a supported
TeX implementation for Sys VR3.2 with some important goodies added.
Supposedly there's a troff-to-TeX converter, for example.

After goofing around with psroff and looking at groff for my bleeding-
edge (Intel SVR4) system, something supported and reasonable ($195
list) looked pretty good.

Any experience with this? Any other advice for me re formatters?
I have a Laserjet III w 1 MB and no Postscript.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

I've got lots of experience with this since I own the company :-)

Besides the troff-to-TeX converter, Scandia TeX also includes
groff as part of the package.

It will support your system.
