[comp.text.tex] Line numbers in LaTeX?

I'm trying to emulate, using LaTeX, a typed document style which has
numbers in the left margin every five lines.  Any creative suggestions
on how to do this in LaTeX?  E-mail, please -- I'll post the answer.
