Amharic, one of the Ethiopian official languages, uses an alphabet as old as the greek one, with about 200 characters. A linguistic laboratory here is searching for fonts (probably made with MetaFont) which could be used with LaTeX. Answer by e-mail to jl@llaor.unice.fr -- Olivier Lecarme
