Hello all, It seems that when I built MetaFont I included X11 window support. The dvips program will automagically run MetaFont when it discovers that a specific magnification of a font is missing. This is wonderful, except that I do not want or need to see MetaFont building each character. Is there a way to tell MetaFont to not use X11? Would just unsetting the DISPLAY environment variable do the trick? Thanks. -- Dan Ehrlich - Sr. Systems Programmer - Penn State Computer Science <ehrlich@cs.psu.edu>/Voice: +1 814 863 1142/FAX: +1 814 865 3176
