I'm using LaTeX on my VS3100 VMS system for one month now and have a problem with DVI2LN3. Some how this program can't find the appropriate font directory and gives the followint error: PARK.TEX@ANMSD3> dvi2ln3 test This is DVI2LN3, VAX/VMS Version 13.0 (88.6.4) Can't open TFM file for font cmr12 The amount of progams and documentations coming with DECUS TeX collection is daunting. I hope somebody help me in specifying the exact font directory for my situation. Thanks in advance. -- Yongsup Park / park@casbah.acns.nwu.edu / Man can apprehend Physics and Astronomy Dept. / park@anmsd3.msd.anl.gov / things beyond the pale Northwestern University / B40180@ANLCV1.BITNET / of his imagination. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thanks in advance. I would say, `if I was going there, I wouldn't start from here' To be more explicit - dvi2ln3 is an __ooold__ processor, and has long since been replaced (for the cognoscenti) by Brian {Hamilton Kelly}'s dvitoln03 which is also (I believe) in the DECUS TeX collection. I've never had a DTcolln myself, but postings about it would seem to confirm that it's somewhat daunting for the beginner. The latest dvitoln03 also deals with virtual fonts, and is therefore a *good thing* - I believe it'll be on the next copy of the tape. -- Robin Fairbairns, Senior Consultant, postmaster and general dogsbody Laser-Scan Ltd., Science Park, Milton Rd., Cambridge CB4 4FY, UK Tel (+44) 223 420414; Fax (+44) 223 420044; Telex 817346 LSLCAM G Email: robin@lsl.co.uk --or-- rf@cl.cam.ac.uk
