I have a file nn.tex that I pulled off some newsgroup awhile ago that begins with the line \documentstyle[amstex,mssymb,12pt]{article} When I try to LaTeX it, I get the result below. What is wrong and how can I fix it? (Unfortunately I have lost the name of the person who originally produced the file.) I know quite a bit about TeX but very little about LaTeX or AMSTeX. Please e-mail responses since I don't usually read this newsgroup. Thank you. turnip% latex nn This is TeX, C Version 3.1 (nn.tex LaTeX Version 2.09 <7 Dec 1989> (/u/lib/tex/inputs/article.sty Document Style `article' <16 Mar 88>.
