Hmmm..this never ceases to be intriguing. I've got all the fonts built, and things are printing out (after playing with the drivers & using dvijep); only snag is, the roman fonts are all bad (well, for the most part). 'i', 'f', 'l', and a few others are showing up bad (I've gotten the cmr's from another site & tried them, and the same results). Sometimes things screw up (like in The Short Story, 'time' and 'galaxy' are munged; but if I insert a word, say 'long', in front of time, it comes out ok, but then other words are messed up). The math symbols are coming out ok, and the cmbx* fonts are all fine; some of the cmti's are also munged. Is there *anyone* out there that's using TeX with an HP LaserJet III that doesn't have PostScript? The last date on the dvijep stuff is in 1989, which leads me to believe somewhere there must be an update (or a better program). Does a Unix version of the dvihp program exist? (One of our professors uses TeX regularly on his PC & said he uses that to print the dvi's out.) Thanks for your time. Mebbe soon I'll actually start to get to learn TeX itself, eh? ;-) Brendan -- Brendan Kehoe - Widener Sun Network Manager - brendan@cs.widener.edu Widener University in Chester, PA A Bloody Sun-Dec War Zone "Does this person look relaxed to you?
