We just built TeX 3.0 on a Convex C220 running OS 9.0. The programs seem to be working okay except for dvitps. We have LaserWriter II's and so are defining for this in: ~tex3.0/DVIware/laser-setters/dvi-to-ps/TeXPS/setup/agouron/local-defs The only changes we're making to local-defs are: default PS_RESET_PAGES 8 #reccommended for LWII default PS_PRINTER_CLASS 1 #ditto We are moving the dvitps'd file to the Mac with Kermit, and then printing with SendPS. The printed output is close, but no cigar. Specifically, we get output like: Pro ect Summarjary J ohn W. Kupec Pro ect: Humanj Phospholipase Basically, some of the spacings and character placements are off. I took the dvi file used for input on the Convex and tried printing to the same LWII using OzTeX on a Mac. Output was perfect so dvi is okay. Any clues as to how to fix? I sometimes have the same kind of trouble with our HP LJ II's We use dvijep frm Atari 1040's however. Also sometimes the interlinespacing goes wrong.
