[comp.text.tex] Latex on Next problem

   I have been running TeX and LaTex on a Next computer, copying the
dvi file onto a diskette, and printing that on a Hewlett-Packard
Laserjet printer.  This usually works, but I have had trouble when
the file includes \oval commands.  I get a message that the job has
been aborted because of an unsuccessful search for the lcircle10 font.

   The same .tex file prints correctly when converted into a .dvi 
file and then run on the Laserjet.  This suggests to me that the 
dvi files are not really device independent.
