I REALLY need 1/16 beams; can it be extended? You two might want to look at MusicTeX, at ymir.claremont.edu in [anonymous.tex.music.musictex]. I've downloaded the documentation and read it. It's quite daunting, but can handle amazingly complex stuff. I've not actually tried it or MuTeX yet. On a similar topic, I'd love to see a TeX package to do basic guitar or banjo chords with single line voice and lyrics. -- "FACT: less than 10% of the psychiatrists in the US are actually practicing cannibals." I have a TeX format for MuTeX. ---- schnipp ------------------------------------------- schnapp ---- \universal% \beginsong\vio\G% \meter{}/{\music\mC}% \^{Andante}{\pg}% \^{\raise 1\nhh\hbox{20}}{\|}\^{5}{\pg}%-------------------------------------- \|\pv\_{\mezzoforte}{\h6}\cresc{\x5\a5\a5}% \|\decresc{\group{\\{\_{\forte}{\v9\.1}}\\{\x5\a5}}{\\9\\5}\uslur12\go}% \group{\\{\_{\piano}{\v6}}\\{\v2}}{\\6\\2}\uslur12\go% \|\v3\.1\a{-1}\group{\\{\a0}\\{\a1}\\{\a2}\\{\a4}} {\\0\\1\\2\\4}\lslur14\ubeam14\go% \|\v6\.1\group{\\{\a6}\\{\v6}}{\\6\\6}\uslur12\go% \group{\\{\v5}\\{\|}\\{\v5}\\{\v4}}{\\5\\5\\5\\4}\uslur14\uslur13\go% {\def\beamlist{\\{{2}-{3},}\\{{2}-{3},}}% \group{\\{\v3\.1}\\{\s4}\\{\s5}\\% {\^{\raise 1\nhh\hbox{30}}{\|}}\\{\a4}}%-------------------------------------- {\\3\\4\\5\\5\\4}\uslur13\uslur15\lbeam23\go}% \|\endsong% \end ---- schnapp ------------------------------------------ schnipp ---- -- Werner Icking icking@gmdzi.gmd.de (+49 2241) 14-2443 Gesellschaft fuer Mathematik und Datenverarbeitung mbH (GMD) Schloss Birlinghoven, P.O.Box 1240, D-5205 Sankt Augustin 1, FRGermany "Der Dativ ist dem Genitiv sein Tod."
